Welcome to SheenView B&B's newest addition The Bikers Web Page!

The first bikers stayed with us in the summer of 2006, a Dutch couple, Frank and Elizabeth who came upon us whilst on their travels around the ring of Beara on their motor bike and sidecar.  They came to stay for 1 night and ended up staying for three.  After their visit we decided to advertise on biking websites and since doing so have had a few more come to stay, a selection of which are photographed below.

We advertise with Bike-stay on http://www.bike-stay.net they have a very good site for worldwide 'Biker Friendly' accommodation & here is the listing to our actual location on their web http://www.bike-stay.net/ireland/accom/kenmare.html

Frank & Elizabeth from Holland our first bikers stayed 3 days and found us when they were riding past. Heading out for the Day Having enjoyed their stay it’s time to move on. Some recent German guests parked up after a full day out.

Well I hope you enjoyed that and remember motorcycle riders be it classic, vintage or modern day are always welcome at SheenView. We have a well-equipped garage with all facilities and even some help (if I'm around), just in case the much loved one decides to 'play up a bit'!! We have ample hard standing for at least 8 bikes, Barbecue facilities, tables and chairs in the garden which overlooks the beautiful Macgillicuddy Reeks, where you can relax with a cold beer or glass of wine and discuss the days trials and tribulations after riding round Kerry's great mountain roads. As we are situated 5 minutes out of town bikes are always safely parked off the road. Although we don’t have lots of ‘drying out’ space should your attire get wet, we do our best and usually you can start a new day in ‘dry gear’.
The area is well known by bike enthusiasts and the annual Killarney Biker Fest seems to be going from strength to strength. Last year nearly a 1000 bikers on Harley Davidson’s had a fun few days around the great twisting and bending Kerry mountain roads and passes. Here is the Healy pass road for example

There is also a annual classic motor cycle rally held by the MUNSTER VINTAGE MOTORCYCLE & CAR CLUB. The event attracts worldwide entrants and throughout the week we hear and see them daily as they pass SheenView on their travels! So all in all we have a very healthy and growing classic and vintage fraternity visiting, BUT there is always room for more so why not come and visit us with the love of your life (the wife is always welcome too !!) This is a very useful link to a page with a lot of the Irish motorcycle clubs with some contact details and may prove a help if trying to organise  a meet here in Ireland & this link to the Irish Vintage Car and Bike scene again with useful contact details.

If you wish we will endeavor to help with designing rally / riding routes, with picturesque places to go for a photo call or places of particular interest to visit and also with meal reservations. There are some fantastic rides through the mountain ranges around Kenmare and we would be only too pleased to provide a packed lunch for those of you who would like to stay out in the wilds to enjoy a picnic whilst taking in the beautiful scenery.
We look forward to hearing from you and to hopefully meeting you and your bike someday.
