Kenmare is nestled in South West Ireland and offers some of the best courses in the Country.
The Ring of Kerry, which is just a 20 minute drive from us, is one of the most spectacular courses to play and has had some famous captains in the past. I believe it was Terry Wogan who said if there was a golf course in heaven then it would certainly be the Ring of Kerry course.
We have our own very popular course here in Kenmare which originally started out as a 9 hole course in 1903. The course was later re-designed by Eddie Hackett and opened as an 18 hole course in 1993. The unusual clubhouse was originally a hunting lodge in India!! Every year the club hosts the ‘3 brothers tournament’ with teams coming from all over to take part.
In addition to our ‘local courses’ there are a wealth of other courses all within easy driving distance. So whether you are a serious golfer or an eager enthusiast there are plenty of challenges for you on our doorstep.
